Honors and awards paved the way for higher positions, and as Chief of Bomb Nav at Carswell AFB (Before they changed it to NAS Fort Worth), he had opportunities to teach navigation and weaponry.

Here Beavers emphasizes some cautionary issues with practice bombs to other staff members. Under his leadership, the bombing accuracy of the Wing improved 200%. He received another Meritorious Service Medal at the end of his tour there.

Beavers cherished the Doctorate of Flying Training Award he received by Air Training Command. His teaching of student navigators was a continuous driving force. Here he is being handed the award by his squadron commander, Lt. Col. David T. Howe, below. Amazingly, Howe was one of Beavers' instructors when he went through school. And the story continues.
